The Accra Circuit Court heard that the businessman promised people high returns on their money.
These promised profits never materialized, leading to the charges.
Prosecutors stated that the accused operated a fraudulent investment scheme.
The total amount lost by investors is GH₵500,000.
The Ghana Police Service presented the case to the court.
The businessman has been formally arraigned and faces legal proceedings.
