A man named Prince Mensah has been fined GH¢9,000 by the Assin Fosu District Court. This fine is an alternative to an 18-month prison sentence.
Mensah pleaded guilty to defrauding a local vendor. The total amount involved in the scam was GH¢37,000.
The court ordered Mensah to pay the fine or go to jail. He is a resident of Assin Andoe.
His Worship Abdul Majid Iliasu presided over the case.
