Customs officers from the Ghana Revenue Authority, working with the police, have seized a large quantity of cigarettes.

The operation took place at the Tema Port, a major entry point for goods into the country.

Authorities discovered 800 cartons of cigarettes that were not registered.

This action is part of a larger effort to stop illegal trading and prevent lost tax money.

The confiscated cigarettes are currently being held.

Further investigations into the matter are planned by the authorities.
