Two Nigerian nationals have been arrested for trying to smuggle cocaine into Ghana. The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) apprehended the suspects at Kotoka International Airport.
The arrests were made following a routine search of luggage. The suspects were on a flight that arrived from South Africa.
Authorities found 17.3 kilograms of cocaine in the luggage. The drugs were seized by NACOC officials at the airport.
The two Nigerians are currently in police custody. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
