Two individuals have been arrested in the Volta Region. They were found with a large quantity of dried cannabis.
The arrest was made by officers from the narcotics control commission. This happened during a routine patrol in the region.
Authorities have not yet released the exact amount of cannabis seized.
The two suspects are currently in police custody.
Investigations into the source and intended destination of the cannabis are underway.
This operation is part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in Ghana.
