Police in the Ashanti Region have arrested two men. They were caught during a routine check point operation. The operation was conducted by the Ashanti Regional Police Command.
During the arrest, officers found a large number of tramadol tablets. They also discovered several parcels that are suspected to be cocaine.
The Police Command confirmed the arrests. They stated that the items seized point to unlawful possession of narcotics.
The two suspects were immediately taken into police custody. Further investigations are underway to determine the origin and intended destination of the drugs.
This action is part of ongoing efforts by the police to combat drug trafficking and related crimes within the region.
