Customs officials at the Aflao border have arrested two people. They were caught trying to smuggle cannabis into the country.
The arrest took place on May 1, 2026. The amount of cannabis seized was approximately 50 kilograms.
The illegal substance was found concealed within a vehicle. This prevented its entry into Ghana.
Authorities are investigating the incident further. The vehicle used in the attempt has also been secured.
