Officials from the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority at Aflao have made a significant seizure. They intercepted a vehicle carrying a large amount of suspected narcotic substances.
The interception occurred at the Aflao border post. This successful operation highlights the ongoing efforts to combat drug smuggling.
A total of 60 kilograms of the suspected drugs were found. The substances have been secured by the relevant authorities.
Two individuals who were traveling in the vehicle were immediately arrested. They are currently in the custody of Customs officials.
The arrests were made as part of routine border control operations. Authorities are investigating the origin and destination of the seized items.
