Two men have been arrested by police in Accra. They are accused of trying to bring a large amount of Indian hemp into the city.

The suspects have been identified as Kwesi Anim and John Kofi. They were stopped by police early in the morning.

Police found 300 kilograms of Indian hemp with the men. This is a very large amount of the substance.

The Amasaman Divisional Police were conducting a routine patrol when they found the suspects. The arrests happened at dawn.

The police are investigating the case further. They did not immediately state where the hemp came from or where it was going.

This seizure is part of efforts by law enforcement to stop the illegal drug trade in the region.
