Two individuals were arrested at Kotoka International Airport. They were caught trying to smuggle narcotics. The arrest was made by officers of the Narcotics Control Commission (NCC).
The seizure happened during a normal security check. The total amount of narcotics found was approximately 13 kilograms.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of the two people arrested.
The NCC stated that this operation is part of their effort to stop illegal drug smuggling into and out of the country.
Further investigations are underway to determine the origin and intended destination of the narcotics.
