National Security has started a mission in Kumasi to find and remove a drink called 'Sukudai'. This popular herbal drink is sold as a way to cleanse the heart.
Tests were done by scientists at the Department of Pharmacology at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology KNUST. These tests looked at the liquid, also known as 'Madara Sukudai' in Hausa.
The preliminary findings from the lab tests were alarming. The herbal drink caused the death of rats within just 24 hours of testing.
