Three men appeared before an Accra Circuit Court. They face charges related to the alleged concealment of a large quantity of cocaine.
The suspected cocaine was reportedly hidden inside bags of gari and cassava powder. This discovery was made in Tema.
The court heard that 869 slabs of the suspected drug were found.
The accused are Gilano Jorgino Holwin, a Dutch security guard. Also in court are Alhaji Iddrisu Haruna, a 56-year-old transporter, and John Mensah Sarbah, a 41-year-old clearing agent.
The court, led by Mrs [REDACTED], ordered that the three men be remanded.
They will remain in custody while investigations continue.
The case has been adjourned to a later date.
