Police officers at Tema Port have seized a large quantity of suspected cocaine. The discovery was made during a routine inspection.
The authorities found more than 200 wraps of the substance. These wraps were inside a shipping container.
The container had arrived from South America. It was flagged for inspection as part of normal port operations.
Officials have not yet confirmed if any arrests have been made in connection with the seizure.
The substance found is currently undergoing tests to confirm its identity.
