Police officers in Odumase Krobo have refused a large bribe. They were offered GH¢200,000 by suspects they had apprehended.
The bribe was given after the police seized a significant amount of suspected fake US dollar notes.
The officers discovered 105 bundles of these counterfeit bills concealed within a metal trunk.
The seizure and subsequent refusal of the bribe took place in Odumase Laasi, a location within Odumase Krobo.
The Ghana Police Service did not reveal the identities of the suspects at this time.
Further investigations are underway to determine the origin of the counterfeit currency.
