Customs officers at Tema Port have uncovered a significant quantity of suspected cocaine. The discovery was made during a routine operation.

A total of 79 parcels were found hidden inside a shipping container. The Ghana Revenue Authority Customs Division led the operation.

Other security agencies assisted customs officials in the successful interception. The drugs were found concealed within the container's contents.

The seized items are currently undergoing testing to confirm their exact nature. Authorities have not yet released details about the container's origin or intended destination.

This operation is part of ongoing efforts by port authorities to combat the illegal trafficking of narcotics through Ghana.
