The Volta Regional Police Command found a large amount of suspected drugs in the Akatsi South Municipality. The seizure happened on May 19, 2026.
About 400 kilograms of what police believe to be marijuana were discovered.
The individuals involved in transporting the drugs managed to get away from the police.
Law enforcement officers have started looking for the people who escaped.
