Police in the Bono East Region have seized a large quantity of suspected cannabis. A total of 397 slabs of dried plant material were discovered.

The seizure happened following a road accident involving a tricycle. The vehicle was not registered with official documents.

The incident occurred around 2 PM. It took place near the Techiman Methodist Park.

The tricycle, known locally as an Aboboyaa, was being ridden by Robert Tannor. He is 48 years old. Mr. Tannor was involved in the accident with the tricycle.

Further details about the accident's cause are being investigated by the police.

The seized material is believed to be cannabis. It will undergo testing to confirm its nature.

This operation is part of ongoing efforts by the Ghana Police Service to combat illegal drug trafficking.
