Police in the Eastern Region have discovered a large quantity of suspected narcotic substances. The find was made during a routine police operation in Koforidua.

Over 200 maxi sacks were found. Officials believe the sacks contain marijuana.

The Eastern Regional Police Command conducted the operation.

Further investigations are underway to determine the full origin and destination of the seized items.
