Police officers have seized a large amount of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp. The discovery was made during an anti-drug operation.

A total of 100 maxi-sacks were found containing the substance. These were recovered in the Volta Region.

The Ghana Police Service has not yet confirmed the exact weight of the seizure.

Investigations are underway to determine the origin of the drugs and identify those involved.
