Police in the Northern Region have made a significant drug bust. They seized approximately 100 bags filled with dried leaves. These leaves are believed to be marijuana.

The seizure happened during a routine patrol. This patrol was moving between regions.

Officials confirmed the large quantity of suspected drugs was taken by the Northern Regional Police Command.

The suspects involved in moving the marijuana got away. They are currently not in police custody.

A search is now underway to find the individuals responsible. Police are actively looking for them based on a Ghana Police Service statement.
