Police officers in Odumase Krobo have successfully thwarted an attempt to bribe them. The officers were offered GH¢200,000.

The bribe was offered by suspects who were apprehended in connection with the seizure of counterfeit money. The money was discovered in Odumase Laasi.

Authorities found 105 bundles of suspected fake US dollar notes. These were hidden inside a metal trunk.

The police arrested individuals in connection with the fake currency. The suspects then attempted to use bribery to avoid arrest and prosecution.

Law enforcement officers refused the substantial bribe. They upheld their duty to uphold the law and secure the evidence.

The seized suspected counterfeit currency and the apprehended individuals are now in police custody. An investigation into the source of the fake dollars is ongoing.
