Police officers patrolling the Accra-Ho highway discovered approximately 600 parcels of dried cannabis. The illicit drugs were concealed inside sacks.
The seizure was made by the Volta Regional Police command. This operation took place during a routine patrol.
The exact street value of the seized cannabis is not yet known. Investigations into the source and intended destination of the drugs are underway.
Authorities have not yet disclosed if any arrests were made at the scene. The police are continuing their efforts to combat drug trafficking in the region.
