Police officers found approximately 500 bags of rice that are thought to be smuggled goods. The seizure took place in the Abutia Kloe area of the Akatsi North District. This happened during a regular patrol by the police.

The Ghana Police Service has not yet confirmed the exact value of the seized rice. However, initial estimates suggest it is worth over GH¢50,000.
