The Ghana Police Service has disrupted a significant drug smuggling network. This happened during three intelligence-led operations.

Officers intercepted 1,696 compressed parcels. These parcels contained substances believed to be narcotics.

The operations took place in the Oti Region. Seven individuals were taken into custody.

Police personnel were offered a bribe of 80,000 Ghana Cedis. They refused the payment.
