Officials from the Ghana Revenue Authority customs division at the Aflao border have arrested six people. The arrest was made during an operation to stop illegal trade.

Approximately 500 cartons of unregistered drugs were found and taken by the authorities. This seizure is a part of efforts by the government to prevent prohibited items from entering the country.

The Ghana Revenue Authority works to enforce trade laws and protect public health. Seizing unregistered medicines is a key part of this work.

Unregistered drugs may be harmful because their contents and safety are not checked by health authorities.

The individuals arrested are currently assisting authorities with further investigations into the matter.
