Law enforcement officers in the Bono East Region have arrested a 48-year-old man in Techiman. The suspect was apprehended following a road accident on March 8, 2026. Information from the Bono East Regional Police Command indicates the man identified as Robert Tannor was riding an unregistered tricycle.

During the incident, police officers discovered a large quantity of suspected illicit substances. The drugs, described as 397 slabs, were found hidden within bags of charcoal. This discovery led to the immediate arrest of the tricycle rider at the scene.

The Bono East Regional Police Command stated that these items are believed to be cannabis. The suspect was taken into custody by the Ghana Police Service.
