The Red Maria unit, a special police team, rounded up 10 suspects in Tamale. The operation was aimed at stopping the sale of illegal drugs.
Police sources say the arrests happened in several locations. These included the Gurugu, Gumani, Kanvilli, and Gbela areas.
During the crackdown, three unregistered motorbikes were also taken by the police.
Some of the arrested individuals were found with materials suspected to be drugs. These substances are now being examined.
