Police in the Northern Region have arrested 112 individuals suspected of drug peddling, drug use, and prostitution. The arrests were made during a series of police operations. Wisdom Lavoe, the Northern Regional Police Commander, announced the figures in Tamale.

He stated that 55 of the detained suspects have already appeared in court. The remaining 57 individuals are still in police custody. These operations aimed to combat illegal drug trade and related activities within the region.

The police commander did not provide specific details on the types of drugs seized or the exact locations of the operations. He indicated that investigations are ongoing into all arrests made.
