The Ghana Police Service has arrested 112 people in the Northern Region. These arrests were part of operations against drug sales, drug use, and prostitution.
Northern Regional Police Commander Wisdom Lavoe shared this information. He spoke to reporters in Tamale.
Commander Lavoe said that 55 of the arrested individuals have already appeared in court. The remaining 57 suspects are still in police custody.
The operations covered various areas within the Northern Region. Police said the aim was to combat illegal activities.
These actions reflect the police's commitment to maintaining law and order.
Further legal proceedings will follow for those brought before the court.
