Nick Kyrgios, a former world number 13, has been provisionally suspended from tennis.

The suspension began on August 4. This follows a positive test for cocaine.

A sample was collected from Kyrgios during the Mallorca Open on June 22.

Tests later showed the sample contained benzoylecgonine. This is a metabolite of cocaine.

The International Tennis Integrity Agency confirmed the provisional suspension.

Kyrgios has the right to appeal the decision.

The agency oversees integrity in professional tennis.
