Police in the Bono East Region have arrested a 29-year-old man. He is accused of possessing dried cannabis.

The man, identified as Kofi Mensah, was stopped at a police checkpoint. Officers found 15 parcels of dried suspected cannabis with him.

The Bono East Regional Police Command made the arrest. They are investigating the incident further.

Possession of cannabis is against the law in Ghana. The police continue to enforce drug laws across the country.

Mensah is currently in police custody. He will face legal proceedings based on the evidence.

The police urge the public to report any illegal drug activities they observe.
