Customs officers at the Ghana-Togo border have arrested a 35-year-old man. The arrest took place when officers searched his vehicle.
During the search, officials discovered a substantial amount of marijuana. The total weight of the illicit substance found was about 150 kilograms.
The discovery was made by officers of the Ghana Revenue Authority. They were working at the border post.
The vehicle containing the marijuana was reportedly being brought into Ghana from Togo.
The man was taken into custody immediately following the discovery.
His name has been withheld by the authorities as investigations continue.
