The Ghana Navy has successfully intercepted a canoe laden with 37 sacks of suspected Indian hemp during a routine maritime operation near Ada. The swift action by naval personnel prevented a significant drug haul from reaching its destination.
During the operation, the individuals on board the canoe reportedly fled the scene, abandoning the vessel and its illicit cargo. The seized sacks, believed to contain Indian hemp, have since been handed over to the National Commission on Narcotic Control (NACOC) for comprehensive forensic analysis and further investigations into the source and intended distribution of the drugs.
