Four people have been arrested in Accra for allegedly making and selling sachet water that was not safe for people to drink. The Food and Drugs Authority and the police worked together to make the arrests.

Investigators found that the water was being made in places that were not clean. They also found that some of the water being sold had passed its expiration date.

This action was taken to protect public health. Unsafe water can cause sicknesses.

The arrested individuals are currently assisting the police with their ongoing inquiries into the matter.
