Five people have been arrested in Tema. They are suspected of being involved in illegal arms dealing. The arrests were made by local police.
During a search of their properties, authorities found several firearms. These weapons were not registered.
The Ghana Police Service is conducting further investigations into the matter. The purpose of the illegal firearms is currently unknown.
The suspects are in police custody as the investigation progresses.
