Eight people have been arrested in the Ashanti Region. They were apprehended by the Forestry Commission working with the police.
The arrests were made in connection with alleged encroachment on a forest reserve. The suspects are accused of engaging in illegal timber harvesting.
The operation aimed to stop activities that harm protected forest areas.
