A court in Egypt has sentenced television presenter Sarah Khalifa and 11 other individuals to death. The sentences were handed down after they were found guilty of drug-related charges.
The group was convicted of importing ingredients used to make drugs. They also possessed illegal firearms and ammunition.
Authorities stated the individuals were part of a criminal gang. Their intention was to sell the manufactured drugs.
The court ordered the sentences to be carried out by hanging.
