Police in the Volta Region have detained a truck driver. He is accused of transporting goods that have not been cleared by customs into Ghana.

The truck was intercepted by the police during a routine patrol. This happened along the route near the Ghana-Togo border.

The Ghana Police Service stated that the driver was apprehended as part of ongoing efforts to stop the illegal importation of goods.
