The Accra Regional Police Command has arrested a driver. He is accused of trying to bring 100 parcels of suspected marijuana into the city.
The suspect was apprehended by the police during a routine stop in Accra.
The Ghana Police Service stated that the parcels contained dried leaves believed to be Indian hemp, commonly known as marijuana.
The police are investigating the source and intended destination of the alleged contraband.
