Brigadier General Maxwell Obuba Mantey is the new head of the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC). He is a senior officer in the Ghana Armed Forces.

General Mantey has served for more than 30 years. His service includes leadership, intelligence work, and peacekeeping missions.

President John Dramani Mahama appointed him to this role. The President cited his operational leadership and intelligence skills.

His appointment aims to strengthen Ghana's efforts in combating illegal narcotics.
