The Ghana Police Service in the Bono East Region has arrested a 48-year-old man named Robert Tannor. He was apprehended following a road crash in Techiman.

Officers discovered a large quantity of suspected narcotics. These were found hidden in bags of charcoal at the crash scene. The seizure took place on March 8, 2026.

A total of 397 slabs of dried plant material, suspected to be cannabis, were recovered. The rickshaw rider was taken into custody by the police.

The Bono East Regional Police Command confirmed the arrest. Further investigations are underway regarding the source and intended destination of the concealed drugs.
