Police forces have arrested twenty-four people in the Ashanti Region. The arrests are part of an intelligence-led operation.

The operation targeted suspected drug peddlers and individuals involved in other criminal activities.

These actions took place in several areas within the Ashanti Region. Locations included Kodie, Apagya, and Dechemso.

The Inspector-General of Police Special Operations Team led the effort. They worked together with the Ashanti Regional Police Command.

The Ghana Police Service confirmed the operation took place.

Authorities stated that the goal was to reduce criminal activity in the region.

The individuals arrested are currently in police custody.

Further investigations by the Ghana Police Service are expected.
