Police in the Northern Region have arrested 112 suspects. These arrests are linked to illegal drug activities and prostitution.
Northern Regional Police Commander Wisdom Lavoe shared this information in Tamale. He said the arrests followed a series of operations.
Of the 112 people arrested, 55 have already appeared in court. The remaining 57 suspects are still in police custody.
The operations targeted drug peddling and the use of illegal substances. Prostitution was also a focus of these police actions.
The police stated these operations aim to improve public safety and reduce crime in the region.
