The Tema Regional Police Command has cordoned off a residence in Tema Community Four following the discovery of two deceased individuals identified as a married couple. Official reports from the Ghana Police Service indicate that the incident was reported on Monday morning after neighbors noticed an unusual silence and lack of activity at the property.

A report by GhanaWeb states that the man was found hanging while the woman was discovered with multiple injuries on the floor of their shared apartment. Police investigators arrived at the scene shortly after the discovery to secure evidence and prevent the contamination of the crime scene according to a statement from local law enforcement officers.

The Daily Graphic reports that investigators found no immediate signs of forced entry into the apartment which has led authorities to focus on a domestic dispute theory. Crime scene experts have recovered several items from the premises for forensic testing but the specific nature of these objects has not been disclosed by the Tema Regional Command.

Family members of the deceased have been notified and are currently assisting the police with background information regarding the couple's relationship. Citi Newsroom reports that some residents in the area claimed to have heard an argument on Sunday night although the timing of the deaths has not been officially confirmed through medical examination.

The bodies of the couple have been transported to the police hospital morgue for a formal post-mortem examination. Authorities stated that the results of the autopsy will be crucial in determining the exact cause of death for both individuals and whether any external parties were involved in the incident.

Police officials have urged the public to remain calm and avoid spreading unverified rumors on social media platforms about the identities of the victims. The Ghana Police Service confirmed that a comprehensive report will be issued once the preliminary stage of the investigation is completed.
