A forty-five year old individual is currently in the custody of the Ghana Police Service in the Techiman Municipality of the Bono East Region. According to reports from Adom Online and Graphic Online, the suspect is accused of killing his wife following a violent domestic dispute at their residence. The reports indicate that the incident escalated from a verbal argument into a physical assault that resulted in the woman perishing from her injuries.

Additional details from Citi Newsroom state that a young male child believed to be the son of the suspect also died during the incident. Local residents who heard the commotion reportedly apprehended the suspect while he was allegedly attempting to flee the neighborhood. These witnesses handed the man over to the Techiman North District Police for formal processing and investigation.

The Ghana Police Service has not yet released the formal identities of the victims as they work to notify the extended family members. Investigators at the scene collected evidence and transported the bodies to the Holy Family Hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy. Court proceedings are expected to begin once the initial investigation is completed by the Regional Crime Department.

While Adom Online attributes the motive to a long standing domestic disagreement, police officials have stated that the exact cause of the fatal altercation remains under active investigation. The suspect remains in custody without bail as the prosecution prepares the necessary documents for a committal hearing at the Techiman Magistrate Court according to standard judicial procedures in Ghana.
