A 12-year-old girl named Vida Kwarteng is receiving medical attention. She was allegedly whipped by her mother.
The incident reportedly happened after Vida sold plantain without her mother’s permission.
She is currently recovering from the alleged abuse.
Vida was treated and is expected to return to the Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Hospital. Her next appointment is on March 12 for further examination.
She will also be seen by specialists at the Psychiatric Unit of the hospital.
In an interview on March 11, Vida stated that she is recovering.
