A young girl in Sefwi Wiawso is receiving help after an incident involving her mother.
The alleged abuse occurred when the 12-year-old reportedly sold plantain without her mother's approval.
The girl, Vida Kwarteng, is currently recovering from the trauma of the event.
She has been receiving treatment and is scheduled for a follow-up appointment.
This appointment is at the Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Hospital on March 12.
She will undergo further examination at the hospital's Psychiatric Unit.
In an interview, the girl confirmed she is in good spirits.
