Police have arrested a 20-year-old woman identified as Promise Yayra Asamani.
She is accused of publishing false news on social media.
The arrest was made by the Inspector-General of Police's Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team.
The complaint was filed on Wednesday, March 11, 2026.
Selasie Kwaku Anthonio, a 43-year-old Uber driver, reported the incident.
He stated that his photograph was used in a viral Snapchat post.
The Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team is investigating the matter.
