Police have arrested a 20-year-old woman for spreading false information online. Promise Yayra Asamani was taken into custody by the Inspector-General of Police’s Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team.
The arrest followed a report made on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. Selasie Kwaku Anthonio, a 43-year-old Uber driver, approached the Cyber Vetting Team.
Mr. Anthonio complained about a viral post on Snapchat. The post contained his photograph and made false claims.
