The government has removed more than 4,200 migrants from Ghana since the start of 2025. This action is part of an effort to address illegal immigration and related activities.

Minister for the Interior Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak announced the figures. He stated that the government is working to stop unlawful presence and activities within the country.

A total of 2,281 migrant beggars were removed. These individuals were identified and expelled from Ghana.

Additionally, 774 other illegal immigrants were removed. These individuals were reportedly involved in transnational organized crime.

The Minister confirmed these removals by the end of 2025. He indicated that efforts to tackle these issues are continuing.

The government aims to maintain order and security. This includes enforcing immigration laws strictly.
